Update on Milfoil Treatment in Big Comfort
UPDATE ON MILFOIL TREATMENT IN BIG COMFORT
After much planning and grant paperwork, we are happy to announce that we have contracted with Lake Management to treat two sections of the north bay of Big Comfort for Eurasian Water Milfoil on September 13 or 14, weather permitting. The date will be pushed back one day at a time if weather is an issue. Please check this page for updates.
· All homeowners in the treatment area will receive a paper notice in their mailbox/paper box area. Please refer to the attached map.
· Upon application, there will be a 24-hour restriction on irrigation from the lake, only if you are in the treatment area.
· Lake Management will post all required notices on properties at the time of treatment.
Lake Management will be applying a relatively new, almost completely nontoxic herbicide called ProcellaCOR, which has multiple year effectiveness and has rave reviews from other lakes in the area. Lake Management is one of only two certified applicators in the state of MN.
