About the Comfort Lakes Association

We are grateful to the original lakeshore homeowners Diana McEvoy, Darv Bethke, Josette Schwarz, Bill and Mary Keilty, who formed the Association in 1989 out of concern for and dedication to our lakes. The Association has grown greatly since those first five members. Now all lakeshore owners, lakeshore access owners and other friends of the lakes are encouraged to join.

The CLA Board is a group of residents who have volunteered to meet monthly and act as representatives for members' interests. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 5459 East Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN at 7:00 pm. All meetings are open to the public.

The CLA Board focuses on controlling and reducing invasive species, improving water quality, and education of lakeshore owners and lake users. Education opportunities include Board sponsored informational classes, speakers and email updates on relevant topics. The Board maintains strong communication with the local watershed district and the DNR. In addition, neighbors are encouraged to meet and socialize by Board hosted annual community events such as the 4th of July boat parade and picnic, a winter ice event and other gatherings.
